Understanding Negotiation
During this session participants will delve into the principles of negotiation and learn key skills that can lead to impressive outcomes in any situation. They will be introduced to three phases for effective negotiations with ample opportunity for discussion along the way.
Getting Prepared
In this session attendees will explore the importance of WATNA ( alternative to a negotiated agreement). Batna (best alternative to a negotiated agreement) for their future negotiations. They will also gain insights into recognising and utilising their options within a negotiation – including defining the optimal zone (ZOPA) and accepting a mutually acceptable compromise outcome (WAP).
Laying The Groundwork
This session provides participants with an opportunity to delve into the intricacies of negotiation and understand how establishing the timing and location well as building common ground can facilitate successful results. Throughout this course attendees will develop a framework for approaching negotiations, with confidence!
Phase One- Exchanging Information
In this session we will explore the dos and don’ts of negotiations providing participants with insights, on how to approach their discussions for outcomes.
Phase Two-Bargaining
During the phase of bargaining attendees will learn strategies and techniques to negotiate confidently. They’ll discover tactics that can help overcome any obstacles they may encounter.
About Mutual Gain
We will delve into the concept of gain exploring three effective methods for ensuring agreements that benefit both parties. This session aims to help participants achieve results in every agreement they make.
Phase Three-Closing
The thought provoking closing phase equips participants with the tools to create successful agreements over time.
Dealing with Difficult Issues
Participants will also be equipped with skills to handle issues with confidence and grace in a session. Through tactics and strategies attendees can gain knowledge on how best to tackle challenging situations.
Negotiating Outside the Boardroom
Additionally there will be a session focusing on negotiating outside the boardroom. Participants will gain an understanding of the principles, for small scale negotiations.
